"I like the fact the the pump is from a solid brand, Zoeller, know for their quality pumps. I opted for this particular model due to the .75 HP motor. In the past, the 1/2 HP units have short lives in the wet area that I live in. Another bonus is the back up float. I wasn't interested in that particular option, but since this pump was the only one available to me in the .75HP range, I purchased it anyhow. The backup float has actually come in handy, especially with the frequent fall rain storms. The installation was easy, and the sump pump runs flawlessly. This sump pump runs much quieter than the previous sump unit."

Operating flawlessly this first month and I expect it will do so for years to come. I cut a 22" deep x 18" x 10" sump in a basement floor to evacuate groundwater that flows under the house. The pump easily lifts the water straight up 4' then a 90 degree elbow through the basement wall and outside to a piped drain system to direct it away from the house. This pump could move water much further than that if necessary. I installed a backflow prevention valve about 2' above the pump."
