"My sump stop working and I didn’t notice because it’s located in an area of the basement I don’t frequent. After noticing a smell I found the area had started to generate mold starting where the sump pump was located. After doing a complete cleanup, I researched top rated sump pumps and this brand was at top. Since installing it’s been raining for the pass 3 weeks and so far no problem."

"I purchased this pump in an emergency when my old pump failed after about 7-8 years of use, causing part of my basement to be flooded. My old pump was a Utilitech 0.33-HP 115-Volt Aluminum Submersible Sump Pump 00079356 which worked well over the years, but it was very light and this sometimes caused it to move around in my sump due to operational vibration. This movement sometimes trapped the Utilitech's water-level sensor in a corner, causing it to either not pump when it should have or keep pumping when it shouldn't. The new Zoeller pump is much heavier and therefore much less likely to move while operating, and the water-level switch is also much better designed and not likely to be trapped even if the pump did move into a corner for some reason. Physical replacement was very easy, I just had to unscrew the 1.5" exit pipe connector from the old pump and screw it into the new pump, then position the pump and plug it in. Because of the heavy iron construction, the Zoeller pump is also much quieter than the old Utilitech pump."
